wont boot after bios, black screen white cursor

I was installing a new OS, it advised the installation could not complete so I cancelled the install. Then my power went in my house and my laptop had no battery it in.

Now when it boots I get the Compaq splash, I can enter BIOS but anything I try just ends with the black screen flashing cursor combo.

I have also run all the tests via BIOS. also tried flash boot which results in black screen and sounding like the laptop is working harder than it should. Nothing happens, it just stays like this.

My laptop is a Compaq hp notebook CQ45-217TX.

Any suggestion? And thank you in advance.

Solved. Eventually managed to boot with external CD drive.

People i got the solution. At least for me. I have Dell laptop with i7 processor and GeForce GT 630M graphic card. I faced a problem of low FPS even at all lower setting. As a solution i updated GeForce GT 630M driver and problem solved. Now i can play at all high setting with minor lag.

Verdict: If you have good possessor and graphic card which are capable of playing AC4BF and facing lag issue, just update driver and you are done.
