wont stay on

My Kodak easy share wont stay on how can I fix this problem I have changed the batteries.

What is the model number of your camera? When it does turn on does the lens extend before it turns off? If the lens does not extend you could try "...gently thumping onto the palm of your hand at power up and this may serve to free any restrictions from lens gear unit and allow normal operation."
