Work around invalid character to install the program

Hello,
I had itunes installed on a thumb drive on my computer. Well long story short some how everything on it was erased causing me to lose everything on the drive. Well, the problem I'm running in to is when I go to reinstall itunes it doesn't work. An error message say's "The path 'Do Not Remove' has invalid character. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Also, information you may need I am running Windows XP SP 3

Since you are not trying to recover the files, you may as well format the drive before trying to install itunes.
