What a fraud!
1) There have been REAL 3D scanners for DECADES.
2) THIS ain't one--not even close! JPEGs?! WTF?! That's not 3D modeling *at all*!
3) You can put together something that will do the real thing for FAR, FAR cheaper, and it will be far, far superior. (Photomodeler + digital camera + cheap computer system: cost: < $2500. And you probably already have the camera and the computer, so--$995)
4) You could put together something that will do EXACTLY what this does for next to nothing. Cheap turntable or lazy susan plus digital camera plus one of those little light box thingies people like to use for photographing stuff to sell online.
5) Interactive? Interactive my ass--it is not!
(And what is this,anyway--1992?)
Anyone who would buy something like this is a idiotic fool with too much money on their hands.
This has GOT to be a joke. It HAS to be.

If you follow the links back, it's advertised as an "OFFICE PHOTOGRAPHY MACHINE." Designed to make it easier to photograph objects for 3D Flash views, etc. That's exactly what it is, but $17,000 is still ridiculous for what it is.
