With Windows Vista as it stands now, I have my reservations when people call it a failure of a product when Windows Search, Aero, automatic driver updating, and handling of audio devices put it a clear step above XP.

When you start sniping at Firefox 3 and Microsoft Office 2007 though, the latter which is easily the best version of Office ever released, it's obvious that you're trying to look for things to hate on to stir up controversy.

Most dissapointing article I've ever seen from Tom's Hardware since those lame weekend joke news tidbits. Really unnecessary.

dreacast is not one of the worst tech sequels are youa total moron ??? the DC did not do bad reatail , for the frist year infact it had quite a phenominal first year , it was the following year that killed it as developer support moved to the next thing to damn quick. As for sega them selves , thier debts from saturn were just to damn big for thier moderatly sucessful DC to pull them out , THAT is why they stopped doing hardware. It wasnt dc sales alone that puled thier plug , if any thing it kept them from shutting shop completely by doing well it's first year , had it had the totally piss poor sales you seem to think it had , then sega wouldn't even be making games any more right now, DC didn't kill sega , it actually saved them from total oblivion. Sure it wasn't a sucess in the long run, but it kept sega alive , and to boot it was one of sega's best consoles ever tech wise , with specs that exceeded sony's PS2 specs in every way cept the processor. wich brings me to my point , you are an idiot for including it in this list.

did everyone forget XP SP2? you know, the upgrade that the majority of enterprise clients avoided until microsoft disabled the majority of the "upgrades" in it? the one that hid the control panel, turned off all consumer firewall software, and was really just a way of preventing idiots from being able to customize the wrong thing and hence break their computer? anyone?

SP1 was solid, and SP3 was a needed fix.

SP2 -- worst sequel ever.

I like Vista. Vista 64 premium. (SP2) I like it a lot. So much I'm worried about what Win7 will ruin?
Also raised my eyebrow at Office 2007 and Firefox...

Umm... since when is Acrobat free? Are you talking about Acrobat Reader, which is free? You realize they are two different products, yes? Incompetent writers, researchers, or editors? What's going on with the quality of the articles on this site.

ahhh, that gold old Norton 360... How many of my costumers bought that from Futureshop because the sale person said it was the best.

Yeah they are well protected against some viruses.
Only problem is that it turned an fast computer into a slow as hell 486 66 mhz....

Or the fact that it caught a virus, after 30 min of attempting to clean it up, it Norton claimed that it had to reboot windows to clean it up.

After another 30-45 min scan and clean, it had to reboot again... stuck in a loop...

What a bad software

Microsoft office 2007 is fantastic. I disagree with that part of the article completely. I originally hated it because I was being stubborn and I had to rush through a few labs on a time constraint. However, once I devoted .5-1 hours to learning it I loved it. It saves me tons of time.
