Would the HP Spectre x360 15,6" be able to run some of todays latest games?

Depends on the game and the graphics at which you run it at. I mean realistically you can play almost every game on bad graphics, I personally have an intel i7-4790k and a GTX 970 and can run pretty much every game at mid to high graphics keeping a solid 60fps. In your case you may have some issues with greater AAA games mainly because you have a 4k monitor which requires more graphics power to run.

Latest stuff ??
It'll play them but honestly you're going to to have to game at 720p to get anything decent fps wise.

Personally on a 15.6 inch screen Is consider that an acceptable compromise.

If you don't already own that laptop you should be looking at something with a gtx 1050m minimum really.

Any recommendations? I merely like the the Spectre for its aesthetics. Can you recommend me a gaming laptop which has a thin and classy design?
