X-540 5.1 speaker problem

Hey guys,

this has been an ongoing problem that I am trying to fix but don't even know where to start. The front left speaker drops in and out, when it is in, it sounds great, but when its out, it has a fuzzy, crackily noise and the volume greatly decreases. All other speakers work perfectly with no problems. Any help?

Also, I am running on Windows 7 x64, and I haven't had this problem forever, just recently. I have had them for almost a year.

And I noticed that most of the time, It just isnt functioning at all.

i had this b4, its due to the soundcard, but sometimes even a reformat seems to solve the problem,

g to your control panel and set ur sample rate and bit output to the lowest to see if u have any improvements.

It was already on the lowest one.

dirty connections (see first post in this forum) or broken soldering connections on motherboard.
Clean the audio jacks and audio plugs.
plug in the audio, wiggle the plug gently back and fourth in the jack, does the audio cut out or make a crackle sound? you may have a broken circuit track / broken audio jack.
