x1600 pro 512 pcie 16 pipe unlock

Can u unlock this card and unlock the extra 4 pipes on this card and how would you do it to get the best performance. what are things tha tyou can do or recommend.

Nothing to unlock, you can only overclock.

And even then you're limited by the type of memory, DDRII which will never overclock anywhere near the GDDR3 on the XT.

But you probably can push the core speed a bit, and get a minor boost.

no pipes to unlock, and ddr2 memory does not overclock any good. Anyone get any good results from this card.

I remember reading a review where they got an average overclock out of the core and almost nothing out of the memory. Any little bit would improve performance, but don't expect anything special out of it.

so whast with the unlock pipe forums and stuff is that for specific cards etc.

Yeah. On some cards, manufacturers use the BIOS to disable pipelines on cards in order to price them cheaper and offer competition to comparable cards from other companies. This isn't true with the X1600Pro, plus it's not a true 12 pipeline card.

If it is not a true 12 pipe card what is it then, how do u find this stuff out. It does not say anything when you look at it.
