[citation][nom]nologo[/nom]epic fail!i really dont see motion (without aided controllers) taking off..yeah i'd spend x amount on guitar hero/rock band because they are physical items...i dont wanna spend £120 (uk pounds) on a camera so i dance around looking like a d**k.the ps3 move..now that has a tempting price tag, £40 (uk pounds) is low enough that if i bought it and never used it..i wouldnt be bothered.[/citation]
oh, and you don't look just as stupid swinging plastic, fake nun-chucks around or playing a fake guitar? you judge things pretty harshly, considering its not even out on the market to use yet. we call people like you, ignorant a-holes. or in nicer terms, debbie downers.

[citation][nom]vant[/nom]Come on. 4GB flash memory is like $10 these days.[/citation]

That's why they upgraded from the formerly $10 512MB of flash...

That price is a little high for the bundle for only getting 4gb and no word of it it has built-in wifi.

Although $150 isn't that bad for people who already own a xbox since you don't have to buy any controllers for it.

In the end though, I don't think either PS Move or Xbox Kinect will do anything compared to what the Wii has already done.

PS Move seems like it will be usable for games that core users may play, while the Xbox Kinect seems great for casual games (exercise, fighting..etc).

I think thats one thing the PS Move has going for it is that its targeting core users, since probably most of the casual market won't move away from the wii.

For example, My brother already owns a PS3 and I told them that PS Move was coming out and he could get that for those fun motion control games that his daughters like. My sister-in-law said that they are still getting a Wii because its more family friendly and has more kids games than the PS3.

Am I the only one that thinks the new motion control options for MS and Sony are too little too late? I really don't think theyre going to cut much into the already established casual gamer fanbase for ninendo, and I don't see too many of the "hardcore" fanbase taking them up at this point. Seems to me like it would have made more sense to save the new tech for a new console

Yeah, I'm right there with you. Both the Kinect and Move totally fail to 'wow' me. Zelda on the Wii is kinda fun and it's kind of fun for entertaining guests but I just don't get that much use out of it. Nintendo's products have always been pretty nice for children because I've always found them to be considerably more durable than the sony or ms consoles (my old 8bit nintendo went through a heck of a lot of abuse from rage - #@%!@#$ bats/birds in ninja gaiden!). It'd probably get more if I had kids but we don't have those planned for a few years yet.

and not only that, but sony and MS won't have the big name franchises to go on the new tech (I don't think) Nintendo has done a great job transitioning Mario, Zelda, and Metroid to the motion controls, and honestly, I will always buy a nintendo console to go along with my PC for those core franchises. Gears, Halo, GTA, GoW, those franchises will likely not translate to the new controls, and casuals will have to be convinced to go from nintendogs to kinectimals, and from wii sports to equivalents

Why MS do this?? Most of the gamers go to xBox for more hardcore games, not the family friend ones.

Just think how do you play MW2 without a joystick, and it still no good for FPS, and you must stay in position like holding a weapon like that and aim with your bare hands?

For sport games there will be some fun, race ones too, but FPS? I don't think so.

I wonder what they will launch next...

Because there's more casual players than hardcore ones (as evidenced by the number of sales of Wii vs PS3+360 along with the success of casual iphone and DS games in the portables). Casual players are also easier to satisfy for much less development cost.

15 games, but they were all of the kinds of games that could be made in a short amount of time, which is why they went with casual gaming.

I think it's so that it'll be more mature in the next generation.

The Wii's advantage is that they are the only console targeting the so-called "casuals". The PS3 and 360 both are targeting the same crowd, so it's divided between the two consoles.

I think the facial recognition/speech software in it is going to be something big for games like Mass Effect. As opposed to
reading and choosing comments, you can say and act them out. I see games that collaborate kinect WITH controllers in the future. That...and a really sick version of street fighter...

[citation][nom]gamesmachine[/nom]4gb....I also thought that was a typo...4Gb....wooooooow better race out and buy one to break the limits of internal xbox storage...oh wait....[/citation]

The way i see it you probably ran out and paid an extra 100 bucks for a 250 HD, thats the only difference between the two models. way to go.

Sony and Nintendo's motion technology can appeal to a hardcore audience, but the Microsoft's can't. Does anyone see something wrong here?
