Xbox hdmi goes into laptop and sound only comes through speakers

So, I use my laptop as a screen for my xbox through hdmi and it works fine threw my speakers. But I recently bought a wireless headset that connects through usb. I dont know how to make the sound play through my headset instead of my speakers.

You would need to reset the default device setting in Control Panel>Sound to allow the system to decide which you want to use. While you're in Control Panel, track down the USB port the headset is in and untick the power saving option so it can't rurn itself off.
