Hey guys
I want to buy a gaming laptop that would be able to run demanding games for the following 4-5 years. I am thinking about customizing XMG laptops and left between two choices:
XMG P724 :
17.3" (43.9cm) Full-HD 1920x1080 Matte
i7-4810MQ QUAD Core 2.80-3.80GHz
2xNvidia GeForce GTX 970m 6144GB GDDR5 SLI
8GB(2x4096) 1866 HyperX Impact Ram

XMG U705:
17.3" (43.9cm) Full-HD LG LP173WF4-SPD1 (1920*1080) Matte IPS
Nvidia GeForce GTX 980m 8192MB GDDR5 with G-sync
i7-4790K QUAD Core 4.0-4.40GHz
8GB(1x8192) 2133MHz HyperX Impact Ram

Hard disks(SSD and HDD) don't matter, because i can choose the same ones for both
So,which one would you suggest me to take? Can someone, please, cite Pros and Cons of both so i could decide? Does gtx 980m with G-Sync and desktop Cpu worth the performance of SLI?
Thanks very much!

I would go for the XMG P724, fantastic performing machine. I have a:

XMG P724 :
17.3" (43.9cm) Full-HD 1920x1080 Matte ( but I had a 120hz screen installed by xmg)
i7-4910MQ
GTX 980m SLI
16GB HyperX Impact Ram
crucial 512 SSD
Hitachi 1TB 7200 HDD

So to answer your question, in my opinion get the XMG P724 . This will allow you to upgrade should you wish to in the future. You will be able to swap out your GPU's and screen (as i did). You also benefit from increased performance with SLI. This is not available on the U705. The 4810MQ is more than adequate for gaming, and again , should you wish to upgrade later you can. If your planning on keeping the laptop for 4-5 years I would consider future upgradability

Ohh... So, it is even possible to replace dual gtx 970m(which are in sli mode) and screen(to g-sync one) if i wish in the future? I was aware about CPU upgradeability, but not the laptop GPUs. BTW as you own XMG P724, how you found the cooling, noise, screen(which it comes with) and design?
Thank you very much, much appreciated!
