trying to setup my xonar card with my astro a40 headphones and running into some weird issues.
#1..is the mic. With mic boost on..it picks up..literally everything. Even if I turn the mic down to 10, it will still pick up someone opening a soda 20 feet away, or the tv 3 rooms away that I can't even hear with the headphones on. yeah, my mic pics up and amplifies sound I can't myself even hear.
if I turn mic boost off, and I max mic input..I have to yell to even be barely heard by others.
#2. How can I set it up to where people talking say on vent, doesn't sound weird with dolby digital/virtual surround sound on. It works awesome for games, but I play a lot of games with people on vent and it makes vent sound like an people are talking in a bathroom.
any ideas?
