We are having issues with our Yamaha RX-V361 receiver not playing the center and surround sound when playing a DVD or Cable TV. When playing a CD in the DVD player, or playing the radio on the receiver, all speakers play and sound great. We have tried all our connections, and reading all the instructions, which aren't terribly intuitive and can't figure it out. We used this same receiver in a different house and Best Buy set it all up. When we moved, we had to get new speakers (which are noted to work for surround sound), a newer TV, and a smaller DVD player, (noted to work with Dolby 5.1). I thought it wouldn't be a setting in the receiver since we had used it before, but have tried every setting we can think of on the DVD and Cable box to no avail. Any help would be appreciated!
