I want one! Better than the toy models of the YF-19 and YF-21 Macross Plus models I seen at a comic book store that were selling for much more than 20$.

The solar cells have an estimated lifespan of around two years, so you can also save on batteries within that period.
That's crap, I have some old SunCeram cells from Panasonic that are rated for ten years. They must be using some cheap epoxy coating that'll turn opaque and yellow under UV from the sun for this thing.

The personal ROBOT industry in Japan is huge, we have pretty much nothing in the USA. There are hobby stores over there with hundreds of robots you can choose from for $20 like above to $2000. AVG price is about $200 or so.

if it's not a Variable Fighter VF-1 'Valkyrie' model S block 18 with Space Augmentation Package, I don't care.

And what the heck is 'robotech'? I've never seen it mentioned on Macross.
