There is so much involved in creating a short of this quality. Software, hardware, sound design, music, elements for compositing etc.
and lots and lots of time. To anyone other than a hobbyist that all = mega $. Kudos to this guy who made something amazing with little money, but there had to be money involved at some point or he wouldnt have all these tools. Someone paid for the cameras, software, hardware and stock elements that were used to create this work. So $300 might be all he spent out of his own pocket, but many thousands came out of his or someone elses pocket at some point in time for all this stuff.

[citation][nom]Greg_77[/nom]It seems like the robots were wasting their time. Why blow up individual buildings when you are going to blow up the whole city in one bast anyways?[/citation]
Its called instilling the "FEAR". Obviously their initial attack was being filmed, so in essence there telling those that are still alive that resistance is futile, you've just witnessed what we're capable of. Come man your putting way to much thought into this, sit back and enjoy the rollercoaster.

This si good.. but ... really? Thats ALL it took? REALLY?! 300 bucks and 5 minutes. God maybe school did teach me something good, now i jsut gotta grab my two friends and throw together a good 5 minute clip.

I think his "time" was his personal investment, look at what a little does to go a long way.... people who sit back and say things like my time is worth much more than 300 or impossible... usally are people that dont accept work when needed to make sure they "maintain the professional caliber aka cost levels" of thier work, when people who take the work for the job, make 5 times more in the long run... on in this case 30million times more... 😉
