Most likely, all the people in the same family have access to a Roku Device managed under the same account. This can be a potential problem leading to some awkward family friction that is never nice or pretty. How to avoid these confusions when the credit card summary comes along? Never have that “You did WHAT?!” conversation again protecting your payment methods and options in your Roku account.
Step 1
Go to Roku Website
Visit MyRoku.com and if it asks you to, log in.
Step 2
Update your 'PIN Preferences'
Enter your account ‘Settings’ and you will find three options: ‘Account Information’, ‘PIN Preference’ and ‘Payment Method’. Click on the ‘Update’ button under the PIN preference option.
Step 3
Choose your 'PIN Request Preference'
You will enter a screen that will ask you some questions about what you want to use your PIN for. If you wish to prevent others from making purchases you should select either of the first two. Once you enter the PIN number and choose the option you wish, then you can click on ‘Submit’ and changes will be saved in your account. Next time you power your Roku device on, you will see these changes are applied.
