I Do Not Want Camtasia Recorder to Be Displayed in the Taskbar While Recording

While preparing educational videos using Camtasia program, it is obvious that you would initialize the Camtasia Recorder in order to capture the actions and events that you perform on the computer screen. In order to provide the maximum available room for the applications and windows that you want to train people on, it is important that all the additional and unnecessary objects, such as the Camtasia Recorder interface, must be minimized. When the Camtasia Recorder program is minimized, by default it remains in the minimized form in the taskbar. Since the taskbar always displays the active and running programs in it, it is likely that the target audience would easily notice the minimized Camtasia Recorder icon, hence getting their minds distracted from the main point. In order to avoid such situations, it is important that the icon of the Camtasia Recorder should also be removed from the taskbar when it is minimized while recording.

Because the Camtasia Recorder is a versatile program with the sophisticated features and tools integrated in it, you can easily minimize the program to the system tray of the computer which is available at the bottom right corner of the screen at the end of the taskbar. When you configure your program this way, as soon as the recording starts, the Camtasia Recorder interface automatically minimizes and gets hidden somewhere within the system tray.

By following the instructions given below, you can configure your instance of Camtasia Recorder to hide automatically to the system tray rather than going to the taskbar.

Here’s what you need to do:

■Log on to the computer using any account since no administrative intervention is required.

■Double-click the Camtasia Recorder icon to initialize the program. You can also go to the Start > All Programs > TechSmith > Camtasia Recorder to start the application.

■On the opened interface, click the Tools menu from the menu bar.

■From the displayed menu, click Options.
