Toshiba l455d-s5976 wi-fi works but light stays red?

Did you ever find a solution or an answer to your question? I did find a comment here (https://www.tenforums.com/network-sharing/75197-wireless-indicator-light.html) from early 2017 that says "That's protocol for all Toshiba laptops." I am searching here in March 2018. My newly acquired Toshiba...

Cannot view images in multiple browsers

I am not sure when it began since I stopped visiting www dot techrepublic dot com but this morning I checked and I can now view all images there. My Chrome browser is Version 54.0.2840.71 m (64-bit). Of course my ping now shows: C:\WINDOWS\system32>nslookup tr1.cbsistatic.com Server...

Cannot view images in multiple browsers

Thanks much! My ping is in previous reply and this machine is reaching the server. I rechecked and proxy was definitely disabled per internet options. I guess I'll just give up on seeing the images on that website on this machine. Thanks again for your time and effort.

Cannot view images in multiple browsers

Sorry. Definitely my screw-up ... I think I did command inappropriately. I am not familiar at all with using cmd prompt. I rechecked and nslookup on this desktop machine is as below. It is the same as nslookup on my laptop which does display the images correctly. My previous post should have...

    Black Inspiron N5030 LCD

After further investigation and just in case someone is searching for the same answer, this appears to be normal operation - i.e., closing the lid turns off the internal but not the external display.

High color jittery LCD but external monitor normal

I tried every troubleshooting step and I still get the jitters (just on true color). I tried a different LCD with it own cable on the original motherboard base unit and I get the jitters as well. I tried the original LCD with its own cable on a different motherboard base unit and voila!, no...

High color jittery LCD but external monitor normal

I have a Dell Inspiron N5030 with a video problem (NOT the same N5030 as my question asked yesterday). My LCD screen video basic desktop display is jittery with the color set to true color. If I set on high color, neither the LCD nor the external monitor displays any video problem. If I set on...

    Black Inspiron N5030 LCD

I am searching for an answer to my question please. So far I have not been able to find any reference to the sensor board online or from Dell! The official Dell Service Manual does not even mention the device. My question: is the 10729-1 sensor board switch supposed to turn off an external...

    Window Video dead?

I have not gone back to try just 1GB. It was working fine for four days (30 hours or more running time and several re-boots) with 2GB as I did all the Windows updates and some software.

    Window Video dead?

Thanks but no - I have 8 or 9 or more laptops already. This was just a hobby project to try to get it to operate with Win7 Ultimate and 2GB RAM. Dell says will only support 1GB but that is incorrect with latest A10 BIOS. I have another C640 as well and may try to combine two of them into one...
