Dual Link Dvi

I got a 144hz monitor for my new pc and it came with a dual dvi cable but I'm not sure if I should connect it directly to the graphics card which is a 1070 or connect it to the motherboard

I've got a Dell 30" LCD which only accepts dual link DVI. How do I find a laptop that supports its sole resolution of 2560x1600? Will a laptop with HDMI work? how about display port? how about USB-C only? how about thunderbolt?

Hello, I am looking for a Dell laptop that has the ability to run a Dell U3014 27Inch Monitor at max res for around £600-£800, does anybody know of one? I'm guessing I need one with Dual Link DVI or a DisplayPort. Thanks
