I got a 144hz monitor for my new pc and it came with a dual dvi cable but I'm not sure if I should connect it directly to the graphics card which is a 1070 or connect it to the motherboard

I am looking for a Dell laptop that has the ability to run a Dell U3014 27Inch Monitor at max res for around £600-£800, does anybody know of one? I'm guessing I need one with Dual Link DVI or a DisplayPort.
