‘Run CCleaner’ Option Is No Longer Available in Recycle Bin Context Menu

When CCleaner is installed on a computer, it automatically integrates itself with various built-in and third-party programs that the computer may have. Since the program is precisely designed to clean up the system while optimizing its overall performance, after the installation, CCleaner also adds ‘Run CCleaner’ option to the Recycle Bin context menu.

With the help of this option added to the Recycle Bin context menu, users are no longer required to initialize the CCleaner program to perform various cleanup tasks. They can simply right-click the Recycle Bin icon that is mostly available on the desktop screen, and can click the ‘Run CCleaner’ option to initialize the entire cleanup process in a single go.

Although using the ‘Run CCleaner’ option from the Recycle Bin context menu does not give the users the full control over the CCleaner program, the option is really useful when only the Recycle Bin and other related instances of unwanted files and entries are required to be removed from the computer.

Since the ‘Run CCleaner’ option is by default available in the Recycle Bin context menu, if you are unable to find the option at the expected location, it means that someone with insufficient knowledge about the program has messed with the application and has accidentally misconfigured CCleaner. As a result, the ‘Run CCleaner’ has been disabled.

In this tutorial, you will learn how you can bring the ‘Run CCleaner’ option back to the Recycle Bin context menu.

Here’s what you need to do:

■Log on to the computer using administrator account.

■Initialize CCleaner application by double-clicking its icon.

■On the opened interface, from the left navigation pane, click to select the Options button.

■From the displayed contextual navigation bar in the center of the interface, click to select the Settings category.

■On the Settings interface that is available at the right of the CCleaner window, check the Add ‘Run CCleaner’ to Recycle Bin context menu checkbox.

■Once this is done, close the CCleaner program.

■If the modifications are still not reflected in the Recycle Bin context menu, restart the computer and then check again.
