13-14 inch laptop with discrete gpu

I was looking for a laptop with a discrete gpu for portable gaming (gta, source games, minecraft) and for school work (I will be a freshman this fall) and was wondering what options I have in the $800 range. I want at max a 14" screen, and also need it to last me a good few years.

I would prefer a higher screen resolution than 1366x768, if possible, but not a deal breaker. I also have heard bad things about acer as a brand, I perfer asus,dell, and toshiba.

i have had several acer laptops in the past and ive never had any problem..

I found another laptop, the lenovo y410p. That looks like a much better option for the money.
