14" vs 15.6" Laptop

the first one is 15.6" and has i5 and integrated graphics
the second one is 14" and has i7 and discrete graphics card (and 150 dollars more)

So i don't know what to choose i'm leaning towards the i7 one because of CPU and GPU but would 14" be too small. i've only had 15.6" laptops so i've never tried smaller screens. But mainly i am going to be using it for school and maybe light gaming. Its going to stay at home most of the time and i might just bring it to school average like 4 or 5 times a month. So which laptop should I choose, anyone have experience with 14" laptops? Greatly appreciated thanks. (and yes I can only buy from bestbuy)

Until and unless you are not planning to use your laptop for highly resource intensive programs such as latest SQL Server, most recent version or Oracle, latest Maya, .NET Studio, virtualization (virtual machines), or high-resolution games, I think you can go with 15.6" screen that also has Intel Core i5 processor which isn't that bad at all.

Although Intel Core i7 is more powerful, you can differentiate between the performance of i5 and i7 processors only when using any or all of the above given programs.

Another point that shouldn't be ignored is, the laptop with i5 processor is comparatively cheaper than the one having the i7 processor.

OH sorry! should've cleared that up but i've seen videos of someone playing the game on 30 fps on hd 4400 but i just want to know would 14" be too small for gaming/ just everyday using. I've never had anything under 15" so thats whats holding me back. Would it be too hard on the eyes, an annoyance?

Go to a store like Bestbuy and checkout a 14" laptop in person.

I use both a 14" and 15.6" laptop. The only issue with the 14" laptop is the 1366x768 is too low for my taste. Regardless, when I replace the 14" laptop with a 13.3", 14" or 15.6" laptop it will have a 1080p resolution screen.
