2 12in celestions to my laptop

Hello

I been wanting to play my music really loud but i dont have a decent stereo system... but i do have a few amps around the house. So i started thinking if i could connect 2 12in speakers to my macbook pro? Or would i need some other kind of equipment? The 2 speakers i been thinking of using are connected together and have a 1/4 input... can i get a 1/4 female to a 3.5mm male and connect it to my laptop?
