Solved! 2630QM+550M vs 820QM+5850

I have Asus N53SV notebook with i7-2630QM / GT550M VGA. and I'm thinking about trading it to HP Envy17 with 820QM+Radeon5850m, 'cause Asus panel sucks.

Both laptop have BR / FHD display.

How's your idea about this deal?

If you game, get the HP, if you don't, stay with what you have.

5850M is notably faster than 550M but on the other hand,the ASUS one has a faster CPU.So if your main usage is gaming,go with HP;otherwise,stick with N53

As a fellow N53sv owner, I would say if it's the screen that's causing you trouble, and you can live with the slightly slower CPU, then go for the HP. The HP 17" units are only slightly wider than the N53, but give you more than 1.5" more screen to spread those pixels out across.

This has been one of my chief complaints about the unit -- for the size of the chassis, I would've loved to have a secondary internal HDD bay...
