Hello,

I bought cheap and rhodium 3.5mm 4 pole jacks from Aliexpress, both types of connectors don't work with my Sony MDRXB400 headphone which has only 3 wires, the sound is too flat.

But the rhodium one worked well with creative sound blaster fury headset with has 4 wires.

So, what to do? Is there a difference between 3 and 4 pole jacks? Should I buy 3 pole rhodium jacks?

Where is the part saying that, I tried to look for a text saying that but didn't know where to find the information stating that.

Actually there's no wire for mic, so I just only need 3 pole connector.

Thank you all for the answers.

You mean where does it say how many conductors the jack has? Pole = conductor, so however many poles it says it has.

Yes, you're right I have to buy 3 poles connectors :)

But I'm surprised the 4 poles didn't work, they all connectors whether they're 3 or 4 poles.
