3 Beeps on Start Up for HP P6 2010UK after installing a new GPU

Hi there,
I recently installed a nVidia GeForce GTX 750 TI for my HP Pavilion P6-2010UK. Upon uninstalling the old drivers I restart my PC and get three beeping sounds along with a black screen.
Prior to that everything was working fine.
Could my new graphics card be faulty or is the problem something else?

Reseat memory or replace with known good chips.

Unfortunately I don't have this option but on the HP Forums they said much of the GeForce GTX 750 range do not work with HP PCs since the card works with Version 8 BIOS but HP do not have updates for this. Instead they suggest purchasing the card from MSI who have a legacy switch that allows it to be compatible with older BIOS versions.

so its like you just spend money on cards till you find one that works??

these boards are hp spec boards and hp bios and are only gurenteed to work as is out of the box with what came on them, that's it anything you do to them over that is at your own risk

I've bought the recommended card that has the 'Legacy BIOS' setting and it works now.
