5.1 Receiver - in this list Which one is better ?

This is for my 60" TV, and occasional music from phone(bluetooth).

Pyle PT588AB 5.1
Pioneer VSX 524 K 5.1
ONKYO TX-SR343 5.1

( I will be connecting my android-box's Out to the receiver.
I am on budget., any other recommendation please...?

Pyle is garbage.

The Pioneer and Onkyo are both decent units. I tend to lean towards Onkyo these days, their build quality seems to be better.

Pioneer or Onkyo, flip a coin.

(even though I just had to replace my Onkyo TX-414, it is still miles better than that pyle of junk that Pyle calls audio equipment)

Also, look at Denon and Yamaha. They both have offerings in that same price range.

I'll toss another vote for Onkyo. I've had my HT-S3200 (HT-R370) for several years now without issue.

Onkyo. Pioneer is fine but the 524 is garbage, bad reviews.

i have been in love with digital audio since my first Logitech 20 years ago. Dolby and DTX technologies are movie theater creations. Please take my advice. Buy a set of Logitech Z906 5.1 Speakers for $300 US ($400 AUS). Plug in a Sangean DAB+ radio. You must start easy with digital audio. I have talked for years to everybody about Dolby and DTS. Entertained with movies and dance music. Sorry that no one 'gets it'. Position audio 5.1 creates the hand in hand experience that sound and vision work together for movie theater experience. But never met a person in my life that wanted to know about the work. Digital audio is a chain of custody from the media to the ear. Any fault, at any step will fail. Purpose built technology for such a complex goal is best. Audio will get better, and cheaper over time. Learn Dolby & DTS with Logitech Z906 5.1 Speakers. They only do one job. Do it well and neat. Keep these speakers through an upgrade to component equipment. Go Onkyo. All technology will fail. Keep legacy equipment for reference and redundancy. Gift old equipment to worthy students. You need to teach digital audio too truly learn. Play sound as it was made to be heard. Entertain, but don't explain. People wont be listening to you. And wasn't that the entire point? Also keep ALL cables off the floor. Never loop or knot a cable. Keep out dust. Use top quality power boards (Belkin). Yeah don't do this. Those are nowhere near the quality a good receiver and a set of speakers will give you.

I have been working with audio equipment for over 30 years, recommending someone buys a powered PC speaker set in a box over an actual Home theater receiver is possibly the worst advice anyone can give in this arena.

No I don't As I was researching for 5.1 system and asked opinions I was told about the need of receiver. I thought receiver is more important and short listed couple of them here.

Can any of the sound expert do a big favour? Can you suggest something easy to set up and cost reasonably cheap. Recover + speaker or a set is even better. I dont know if I am asking too much for the price range. I feel I dont need a high end system that I will never doffrenciate or use function. I might need to something entry lever but a better entry level.

my expectation is simple: Hear the dialogues clearly, I want to feel the rear speaker effects(Like a helicopter is coming from back), and always like strong Base effect.

I don't have any preference regarding the order. The only thing is the standard voltage in Singapore is 220V/240V, 50 Hz, and US is 110-120 ?.

Ok its tough for me to answer only because I am not sure what brands are available there.

Can you get Polk Audio, Klipsch, or Infinity? All have lower end speaker packages that would pair well.

A peek at the TX-SR343 Amazon reviews comes up with 18% 1-star (out of 5), that's a little high for my comfort, so it depends on the service of your local retailer, because if you have to send the "boat anchor" (I call receivers) back, can be a (relatively) major expense+hassle.

Honestly these days, seems to me if you are buying entry-level, you don't know what you are getting. If I were in your shoes, I may think of used market, eBay in Singapore? at least there the box is already been tested, if the owner haven't had a problem with it, say for 1 year, the chances are, it will stay healthy for a few more years. Just throwing you another option.

Thats actually a decent setup. I used to sell the far older version of that back in the day and it was great. I've installed another at a friends home a few years ago and it sounded good for what it was. It is a great starter package and a decent amplifier with a lot of modern features (HDMI 2.0, 4k support, etc). The speakers aren't the greatest in the world, but for a starter set they are fine, depending on your budget.
