So I currently have a late 90s home theater which has one center speaker 2 big ones and another 2 small ones. I used rca (black and red) to aux and pressed test on the 5.1 test system on realtek control panel but only the 2 big ones worked. Then Had a quick look and people said surround doesnt work with AUX. Then I saw that my motherboard (asrock z97 anniversary) doesnt have optical output but my home theater system does.. (Sony RX100AV) Except from getting a new sound card with optical output What If I used something like this??

Update

I saw it says "simulation software.." So it wont be really good. What about this ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-5-1-Channel-External-Optical-Audio-Fiber-Sound-Card-S-PDIF-for-Laptop-PC/172591084460?hash=item282f3af3ac:g:2FAAAOSwmgJY1I~B

Solution
The second one should work but what surround sound codecs it supports will depend on the drivers that are available for it. More expensive ones will have support Dolby, DTS, and their variants. For movies and games should work much better.
