Greetings all. Here is a question for all of you audiophiles out there with much more experience than myself.

I recently purchased a new 5.1 surround sound system. The setup in the room it will be going in is a bit strange. I have two floor standing speakers (Klipsch Synergy F-30 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XRD9TG/ref=oss_product) and two bookshelf speakers (Klipsch Synergy S-20 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XRD9V4/ref=oss_product) along with a sub and a center channel speaker.

As the room is going to be setup, the bookshelf speakers are going to need to be placed in the front of the room, while the 2 floor standing speakers will be in the back....just reversed from what someone would setup.

My question is will I notice or experience anything undesirable by swapping the front speakers to the rear and the rear speakers to the front as far as audio quality is concerned? I'm keeping the wiring as it should be (front output going to the front speakers, rear out going to the rear speakers).

Thanks!!

You will lose bass response. Also your surround speakers are dipole radiators, can't say how that will sound in practice at the sitting position because the tweeters are pointed outward and not toward the listener.
