500$ surround sound system?

Any one know of a good surround sound system for movies/gaming/music
for under 500$? something with strong bass with nice sound .?

Monoprice sells one for $250 that looks to be a rebranded energy take classic 5.1 (normally $399)

Of course you'll still need a receiver, if you don't have one, I'd recommend picking up a used Harman Kardon avr1600 from amazon for about $250.

Those are EXCELLENT speakers. I was reading a review an they got a perfect 5 (AN EXTREME RARITY) on CNET.

I'd say current pioneer system. Very good system thats 5.1. The speakers you could order off of newegg.com because the price for them is practically halved atm or the last time I checked a week ago. Receiver would be the only expensive piece to get which is about $210 or less.

And personally I have the full system and it rocks!
