7 beep error after upgrading cpu - Dell N5110

Hi,
I installed i7-2630qm on N5110 and got 7 beep error (CPU/MB error)
I found posts of people who already upgraded successfully their CPU
I also tried removing CMOS battery

Original CPU: i5-2430m
BIOS: A11 latest (unlocked)

now I'm posting with my i5 CPU

Those people you found that upgraded, they upgraded to the same CPU as yours with the same computer and power supply model as yours? Did you check those posts as to the procedure they used? If you are on the latest BIOS and the motherboard does not see the CPU, and you know that CPU works with the motherboard, it may simply be a bad CPU you got. I would guess you bought this CPU used. Is there a way you can test CPU in another system?
