How do i go about this message on my screen 'disk read error press ctrl alt del to restart.the name of laptop is hp pavillion dv2000

Is it giving you a blue screen as well or is this just occurring in a specific program? It sounds as if the hard drive is on it's way out. If possible, back up your necessary data and look into buying a new hard drive.
