My HP Compaq nx6125 is not working properly. I can see the following message on the display
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

File:\Boot\BCD
Status: 0xc0000034
Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.

-------------

I am unable to find the original recovery disk. I used another original Windows 7 disk but the system gives the same error.

I am also unable to boot to safe mode by pressing F8. The safe mode option menu is not appearing on the screen.

The system is not accepting USB bootable disk since there is no such option on the BIOS.

Please suggest some solution to fix the problem.

Solution
You may need to see if you can get a recovery disk from the manufacturer. However, with it being that old, they may not have it.

However, it could also be that the drive has, or is about to, fail and will need replacing.
