I'm planning on overclocking my t-bird 1333, I just wanted a couple of questions answering. Whats the best way to unlock it ?. Is it worth lapping a GlobalWin CAK4-88T heatsink ?. What should I be aiming to overclocking it to, I was hoping for about 1.6.
Is a 300w psu ok for o/c ?.

Thanks in advance.

-easy way to unlock tbird: #2 pencil.
-lapping may help, dunno, you may wanna check the OC forum
-depends on your specific proc on how high you will get, take it slowly gradually getting higher.
-300W is ok if it is a GOOD 300W PS, however, more is always better.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it...tweak it.

300W psu is allright for stock speeds, but raising the core voltage and Mhz with overclocking really taxes it. 350W or greater is advised.

How far you can go is highly dependent on the "goodness" of your cpu.
Some 1333's could get to 1500 ro 1600.
others couldnt.
