A laptop for my requirements,....

I have a budget of 5000$
i use laptop mostly for gaming and cad ,maya..
can you suggest me a laptop for my usage
minimum...
intel 4980hq
980m gtx(compulsary)
ssd..512 minimum.
i dont care about battery or weight

For that price, any high end laptop is sufficient. The only problem is 3d software and gaming gpu's differ quite a lot. For example maya prefers quadrino cards and most games prefer either geforce or amd.

Personally I would buy the highest end rog series I can get my hands on as they have good cooling, have a good screen which should be good when 3d modelling. Another alternaitive is msi titan I think its called, if you prefer a mechanical keyboard.

can 980m run maya or cad decently? i do not do any pro work but just intemediate level...

Yes it should be able to handle cad easily.
