silly question for silly rabbit... don't wanna lose my head here but...

seen lots of questions for KN like this one that should be easy to post a public answer to.

silly question is, why don't you take opportunities like this question strabo asked to show off your wares.

all the "you got a PM" answers to questions like this one and how big is your company and some forum questions i won't go digging for kinda leave us rabbits (like me who are seriously interested in buying a KN) wondering why you aren't answering publicly...

we know what comes standard is liable to change, we kinda guess you are a one man shop, probably working out of your house (so am I and I do ok and my clients are quite satisfied), because of the way you won't answer some questions publicly (here or on killernotebooks.com).

ok, i didn't make this reply to make an issue, just to point out that your secrecy is starting to have an impact you might not be aware of...

I could post what he told me, I guess.

Anyway, here goes:
1 year no B.S. warranty (upgrades available)
2. 24/7/365 Tech support
3. Ground Shipping
4. Nero OEM
5. Power DVD or WinDVD OEM
6. Windows OS (others available)
7 Deending on the system various OEM software

I also sent them an email (I found the contact part of KN shortly after my post) and got this reply:
XP Pro, Nero OEM, Win DVD Pro OEM.

Quick email answer, by the way. I got an answer within an hour of my email being sent.

How much would it cost to upgrade the warranty to 2 or 3 years?

The 2 year waranty on the Wakizachi is standard now.

The 2 year warranty on the Executioner or Eliminator is $75.

I will tell you, extended warranty's are a scam. A notebook works or it doesn't right away. the only thing that breaks on a notebook is the hard drive and that is covered by a 3 or 5 year warranty (depending on if it is Hitachi or Seagate). I will sell you any amount of extended warranty you want ot pay for, BUT I am upfront in the fact that that you are more than likely throwing your money away.

I then recommend www.safeware.com - this is exactly how these other guys are "protecting" your systems from "accidental" damage, but tacking a premium on it. I'll just tell you where it is and sleep better at night not taking your $75 for the safeware form I would have to fill in 5 minutes and $100+ for an extended warranty, then throw on $200 for a no dead pixel warranty that covers you if you have (I have actually seen this) 7 or more dead pixels, 3 of which have to be "in the field".

I think when you buy a gaming laptop the thing better be kick ass. You should get what you expect, and the thing should work... period. That's why I have the NO B.S. warranty & the no dead pixel guaranty.

Oh, and BTW, I have 2 US locations and a Sydney Austrailia distributor, working on a potential U.A.E. distributor. The reason I answer the stuff personally is because I think personalization is the key to this market. If you wanted to be number 44w95308967e5-8967, you could go to DELL.

Also, the last time someone questioned me about size and what not, I got carried away and lost 2 customers. I want my customers to be happy, and losing 2 customers means there's 2 people out there that probably think I am a jerk, aside from the guy in the XPS vs. Inspiron forum, that can influence more customers, etc. etc. etc. I am well aware of that, which is why I strive for excellent customer service and support. I rely on it, other companies, you aren't that important to because they have plenty of customers due to huge advertising and marketing pushes.

now see that wasn't so hard!

i guessed wrong as perhaps others have as well.

anyone paying attention here knows KN and the reason we like what we see is because of KN's "striving for excellent customer service and support" both here in the forum and to KN customers.

the more you reveal about your company and your practices, the better KN looks as compared to the competiton. Any fool (and i say that respectively to all the fools who have one) who wants to be part of the "Dell experience" can have at them. Someone has to buy all those substandard pieces, 4.1M dell batteries recalled, and parts sloppily thrown together at some mega fab.

the rest of us look for companies like KN and thats why we are so interested in how KN does what it does...

just a suggestion KN, but maybe you should put more of this kinda "who we are and how we operate" stuff on killernotebooks.com

if you lost 2 customers because of your size, then don't worry about it... a person wants a box, he knows that he can get a inexpensive, inexpensively made, consumer grade box at mcDell in no time or he can get a customized for him box made of quality, matched components at the KN Samurai Deli. yep, the KN Samurai Deli ain't for everyone, and mcDell ain't for me! you don't want all those dell kinda customers anyway, drive you to seppuku

Let me try to answer that here. TG Forumz has a policy that does not permit "vendors" from actively promoting their "wares" on these boards.

I have discussed this with KN previously.

If you notice a link to his website, go there.

KN contributes helpful content here and can continue to do so, unless these threads become active selling. In that case, vendors have been and will be banned.
