I just bought an m17x r4 like new condition off ebay -- i7 3720qm -- 8gb ram -- 256gb ssd -- 750gb hdd -- 7970m -- all for $1500.
Awesome deal, and I think people bash alienware to much, I came from my custom built desktop with a i52500k -- gtx 680 with a triple monitor Nvidia surround setup. So I know best of both worlds, and I can say alienware is worth it ....*IF* you search for a deal, don't settle for brand new overpricing. Alienware has awesome solid build, and the features are pretty cool. Most people just like to bash alienware because they like to go with the flow of enthusiasts.
Just my point of view, always gotta have at least one person not bashing alienware
(I'm not a fanboy in anyway either, I have a laptop now because I have started to travle a lot. haha)
Nah those are actually overpriced, the 670 is still fermi based, and it isn't kepler, just a remake of the 570. Gotta get the 670MX for true kepler, and those aren't even found in the asus lineup.

At 2000$, Alienware wont give you a 250GB SSD like this:

Unless of course you actually look around on ebay or someother website besides the retailers.
