PLEASE HELP ME:
I need to get past an 'unknown' fingerprint or 'password' sign on on my New Acer 8940G: How ?

My new acer 8940G has been set up by my son who registered a password and/or a fingerprint sign on.
He is not contactable for a long time.
I do not get past the sign on stage.
Do I have to go back to the retailer?
