Hi all. Hope you can advise me on which laptop to buy from the following :

Acer aspire 5733

Sony vaio eb3j0e

I wont be gaming , its just for dvds , photos , internet browsing , facebook etc. Hope you can help me out with some comparisons.

Both models are about two years old now.

You didn't finish giving the full model number of the Acer Aspire 5733. It would look something like Acer Aspire 5733 (AS5733-6650)

It looks like the Sony are used laptops. Unless you can confirm they have a 1 year warranty that Acer model would be the better option.

Thanks but my budget is more around the 300 pounds mark. Seems the acer I had my eye on has gone up to over 400 now . Ideally I would be happy spending 320 at the most.

Any recommendations ?

I'd say keep looking till something similar goes on sale again.
Some big sales should be coming along shortly.
