Acer Aspire 5745G black screen 'YY'

Hi everybody.
Today when I came to turn my laptop, it booted into BIOS screen with "Press F2 to enter..", and then it switched to a black screen with two letters 'Y'..
Now I have read a little bit on forums but didn't really find any solution.

Specs: Acer Aspire 5745G (i7, 4GB RAM, Nvidia GT420).
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.


Any help is much appricated!!

Chances are you have already seen the following page addressing this issue:

In searching it leads me to believe you have a hardware failure, a stop at a repair shop is unfortunately needed.
