Acer Aspire 5750g weird noises on audio and glitch in videos

I bought an Acer Aspire 5750g about 6 months ago and it has worked great until now. A couple of days ago it was working fine and out of nowhere when I listen to music, watch videos, and talk on skype the audio makes a glitch noise and the video skips. I originally thought it was an audio driver and I installed the latest one and it did not work. The best way i can describe the noise is a robot would make when dying out(sorry if that is a bad comparison). The programs are also running slower and sometimes not responding. I am at a loss and help would be great. Thanks for your time
