Acer Aspire 6530G Screen/Video Problem

I had a friends ACER laptop that had a similar problem - turns out the hinge on the lid / screen was causing the problem.

Firstly just to make sure turn the laptop on as in the video and try the screen at a different angles of being open if it stops then I suspect the left hand hinge on the screeen is causing interference on the screen. I managed to cure the problem by removing the screen surround (not easy) and adjusting the routing of the connectors / cables. Then booted up and checked the screen was ok at all angles before securing the leads with some hot glue.

just tested with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 -> the same problem ->> so it is motherboards fault - maybe the cable connector in motherboard.
