Acer aspire 8930g not starting cannot recover

Hello,
My laptop would not start up, and I tryed to do a system restore but with the disk it doesn't get past partition 2, I have reformatted and wiped the HDD on a different computer and it still won't get past that partition, I am running windows vista.

Since you have access to another computer, I would check the SMART status of the hard drive in question. You should be able to find a HDD utility through the manufactures website, that will give you a pass/fail grade. Let us know if it passes or fails.
