Acer aspire notebook problem

Hi I recently bought acer aspire one notebook AOHAPPY2 from trade me. While I turn on the power there comes a black screen and displays this message" An operating system wasn't found. try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart, pls help me

Take it back, a netbook is not worth spending a huge amount of money on... as a guess its going to need a new hard drive and everything reloading... that would cost MORE than a brand new netbook...
