Acer aspire will start up and get to the user menu and the cursor is frozen...help!

Computer mouse was frozen at user menu on Acer Aspire using Windows 7. I plugged in a mouse and it works....how do I get my drivers to work. Help!

Found my own answer on Youtube...to turn mouse pad on and off hit fn + F7 on the Acer Aspire. If cursor is frozen that may turn it back on.....mine did!
