acer d260 does not reconize the ac power

acer d260 does not reconize the ac power. AC adapter outputting 19V, purchased new battery - same results, performed power reset - no change. System runs on battery only, if ac unit is removed - no change to system. If battery is removed the system shuts down.

Hi, maybe the problem is the dc jack on the motherboard?
