Acer digital camera CR 8530

The shutter does not open. I got it in 2006 and I have not used it at all, it is still in the original box. As I was away since then, I left it at home in Nepal bought another camera.

I am now based in Kuwait. Please suggest me how can I use it.

When you say the shutter doesn't open -- explain a little more.

Does the preview screen work ? Does the lens extend when you power up ?

Is the battery level showing as normal ?

Everything is normal, the preview screen shows error 2, battery is fully charged. I am thinking of taking this to Acer service centre
