Hi I am trying to reset my father in laws laptop urgently as he cant get the laptop to load up. I've gone thru the process numerous times on factory reset etc but it fails to do it please help my father in law has been told he hasnt long left so wanted to get it sorted for him

Could be the drive has failed if you can't do a factory restore, that is often the cause.

Replace the drive and do a clean Windows setup on it.

Do a search online for your model, should be guides out there. Although if you did not already think to do that you may need to get someone handy with computers to help you so you don't break something while taking apart the system. Laptops can have some very small and delicate connectors, if you don't watch what you are doing it's easy to break stuff.
