Acer Ferrari 1000 charge port broken

My Acer fell off a coffee table & fell on the charge port area & cracked the shell around it & now it wont charge. Can I just replace the charge port or must I change the motherboard?
I tried a battery from another Ferrari 1000 and the it powers up but won't charge.

Unknown. It's best to bring it to a repair center to run a full diagnostic. Perhaps it is something as simple as replacing the charger port. Perhaps the problem is due to something else.
