Acer keyboard not working mouse okay need to enter password

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire that drank some milk. I have everything working except the keyboard. So I am unable to enter my password to get to a few files I need ASAP. Does anyone know a quick keyboard fix. Or a way to bypass the keyboard, or anything....Please Help! And Thank You in Advance.

Plug in a USB keyboard, thats your quickest way of "getting it going".

Besides that your keyboard might be shot, however it's possible you could take it apart and clean it - but that's not guaranteed to work.

If you have windows 7 click on the bottom left icon that looks like a clock and select "Use on screen keyboard" and click OK. This will allow you to select your letters and numbers with your mouse.

thanks for all your help! I was able to take it apart, wipe it try and after the 5th or 6th time after plugging the ribbon back in, the keyboard works!!!! So thank you all very much. mama mo t
